Lee Badger working Because of my training as an artist-blacksmith, I prefer forging and hot working methods over machining and mechanical fabrication.

I prefer to shape metal by heating, bending and hammering instead of cutting and grinding. This hand worked element is what satisfies me in a completed piece.

I believe in the saying, “You get the kind of work you do,” so I try to be as versatile as possible, doing my best and taking on interesting and unique projects whatever they are.

A small amount of steel can carry great weight, physically and visually. I like to make pieces that fit gracefully into their surroundings, either as a part of the whole or as a natural focal point.
